More Than Just A Hostel Or Safari
Open Road began as a journey — a search for meaningful travel, real human connection and experiences that feel authentic, simple and unforgettable.

How Open Road Started
What started as two travelers from Kerala along with their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter exploring Rajasthan slowly grew into Open Road Adventures — a travel experience built around authentic desert journeys, meaningful connections, and the spirit of slow travel.
When we first arrived in Jaisalmer, the Thar Desert felt different from anywhere else — peaceful sunsets, endless skies, warm local culture, and a slower rhythm of life that stayed with us. Over time, this journey became not just our home, but part of our daughter’s childhood growing up among travelers, desert stories, and the magical landscapes of Rajasthan.
What began as a small backpacker hostel in Jaisalmer gradually evolved into a community of travelers, non-touristic desert safaris, heritage stays, and authentic local experiences designed to help people experience the real side of Rajasthan.
Today, Open Road Adventures welcomes travelers from around the world who come not just to visit Jaisalmer — but to truly experience it.

But more importantly, it has become a place where travelers from around the world come together to share stories, music, sunsets and unforgettable moments in Jaisalmer.
The Road Doesn’t End Here
What started in Jaisalmer is slowly growing into something much bigger.
As travelers ourselves, we have always dreamed of creating meaningful travel experiences in different places across India — experiences built around authenticity, human connection, local culture and the spirit of exploration.
We are currently open to collaborations, creative partnerships and expansion opportunities with like-minded people in other cities who share the same vision of travel and hospitality.
Whether it’s hostels, heritage stays, cafes, offbeat experiences or community-driven travel spaces, we would love to connect with people who believe in building something real together.
Open Road was never just about one destination — it’s about the journey, the people we meet along the way and the stories we create together.
